Pastor ed choy

Pastor Ed Choy grew up in a Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C.  In tenth grade he moved to Atlanta, GA, where he graduated high school. After living a godless life, his relationship with Jesus was restored on May 1st, 1996.

Ed’s education includes two years at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake NY, where he met his angel, Laura Christ! He then completed a Bachelors of Science from Tennessee Temple University. During those four years Ed worked on staff at Word of Life in several capacities, including Snow Camp program director, Island STC director, and serving as the Intern to the International Ministries Vice President (now Executive Director, Don Lough) for one year.

Ed and Laura were married May 26th, 2001 and have three boys and a girl – Elijah, Ephram, Emet, and Karis.

Ed went on to complete a Masters in Divinity and Masters of Theology from Capital Bible Seminary (OT and Semitic Languages), and then a Doctorate of Ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary (Church Planting, Church Leadership, and Church Health).

Ed has served in several pastoral roles, including youth and interim pastor at the Chinese Christian Church of Greater Washington, D.C., English Pastor at the Chinese Christian Church of Germantown, and currently the Senior Pastor at Restoration Church in Gaithersburg, MD, planted in October 2016.

In his free time Ed enjoys sports, especially football (GO SKINS/Dawgs/Terps), health & fitness, being outdoors, percussion, music, reading, Apple/Mac, and doing just about anything with his family.
